I visited The Gardens Of The Rose, Albany, England, July 3, 2000. This was a truly sublime experience. Even though the garden had been number one on my list I was reluctant to visit. The day before my intended excursion there had been a heavy rain storm; I felt sure the blooms would be well past their prime as a result. Fortunately, my hostess at the Richmond b&b where I stayed during part of my trip to England "insisted" I follow my plans. Upon my return that night I assured Ms. Hobbs that I "... found what I came for..."

Western Brook Pond Fjord, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. In the summer of 2002 Mom, Dad, & I hiked 3 km into the bush to a boat which brought us 16 km into this fjord; ... it was great fun!
